Claimed by the Dragon Queen — Episode 1

What happens in episode 1 of Claimed by the Dragon Queen

Episode 1 of Claimed by the Dragon Queen drags a bearded prisoner before a dark queen whose throne sits inside a dragon skull. It runs 72 seconds.

Guards in steel helmets drag a bearded prisoner in a linen tunic through a stone hall toward a throne set inside the open jaws of a giant dragon skull. On it sits the queen: long black hair, a crown of gold thorns, a black leather corset-gown and a crimson cloak pooling down the steps. She watches him the way a cat watches something small.

This is the darker of our two dragon-queen series, and episode 1 makes its power dynamic clear before anyone touches. Ethan is a captive; Queen Veyra intends him as entertainment. The twist the series is built on — the man she means to break starts setting terms of his own — is only hinted at in the opener, in a dazed close-up of him lying in dappled light. Five episodes, heavy on court intrigue and costume.
