Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right — Episode 1

What happens in episode 1 of Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right

Episode 1 of Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right follows Simona from a laser-lit club, through a late phone call, to a quiet hallway at home. It runs 74 seconds.

Simona's story opens at full volume. The club is packed, lasers cut through the haze, and she is on the dance floor in a black satin slip dress, phone pressed to her ear, wearing the expression of someone being lectured by her parents at one in the morning. Her platinum-haired friend in sequins wants her back on the floor; the call wants her home.

Most of episode 1 is the drive between those two worlds: a black SUV at the curb, neon on wet tarmac, and finally a moon-blue hallway where she walks barefoot with her heels in her hand, trying not to wake anyone. The tension the series builds on is domestic rather than nightlife — a dropout with a rough run of exes, strict parents, and a stepbrother whose door is a few steps down that same hallway. Fifteen episodes is a long arc, and this first one is mostly mood.
