My Wife Hired My Nurse — Episode 1

What happens in episode 1 of My Wife Hired My Nurse

Episode 1 of My Wife Hired My Nurse brings a home nurse to a man with both hands in casts, and she is not who his wife expected. It runs 64 seconds.

Jake has broken both hands, and his wife has booked a home nurse she assumes will be a grandmother. The opening shot is the empty living room, a white car pulling up outside the floor-to-ceiling windows. Then the nurse kneels by her duffel bag and unpacks blue scrubs, looking up at the patient on the sofa with both arms in casts.

Mila is blonde, about thirty and extremely practical. In the scrubs, stethoscope round her neck, she leans over Jake and adjusts his blanket with professional calm while he quietly panics. Episode 1 is a comedy of helplessness: every ordinary thing he cannot do, she now does for him. Golden-hour light, a marble bathroom and a lilac bikini on the poster show where the next four episodes go.
